Is he the jerk? Does David in Lisle need to pay for his son’s school?

Am I a jerk for not paying or helping to pay for my sons college education? Nobody paid for mine and the hard lessons, struggles I learned along the way are why I am no the person I am today. I think a little struggle is good for kids, does that make me a jerk? My wife and son sure thinks so ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£
