Here’s how to get the most out of your tank with crazy gas prices

Gas prices are getting out of control, and if you drive, you’ve definitely felt it in your wallet. The average cost of one gallon of gas jumped 55 cents in one week. Ouch. President Biden said the U.S. will phase out Russian imports by the end of 2022 which could make gas prices go up even more. With all of that, here’s how to get most bang for your buck with every gallon.

Avoid higher speeds and try to use cruise control when possible

Combine shorter trips because warm engines run more efficiently than cold ones

Keep your tires properly inflated

Cut down on the A/C, and keep the windows closed

Don’t accelerate or brake too hard

Lighten your load- don’t get cute with that

Avoid idling

Get your car serviced regularly
