No big deal, but an Ohio hospital gave a patient a kidney transplant. Also, not that it’s a big deal, but that kidney transplant wasn’t supposed to go to that patient. Again, it’s fine, but this is (kind of) an issue and two people from the hospital have been placed on administrative leave as a result. Again, there’s no need to panic, but someone now has a kidney that they didn’t need.
“We have offered our sincerest apologies to these patients and their families,” University Hospitals said in the statement.
