It premiered during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and has racked a lot of attention online. E.T the Extraterrestrial who won our collective hearts in the 80’s sci-fi adventure film was reunited with an adult Elliot in a longoform commercial for Comcast Xfinity.
Some fans have been critical of the ad while others find it to be sweet nostalgia for the Christmas season. What do you think?
If you think this is bad, it’s not nearly as bad the awful Atari video game which was a huge bomb when it was released. It’s grown to become it’s own legend when thousands of game cartridges were buried in the dessert.WIRED documented the excavation in 2014 was pretty entertaining.
