All this dad wanted was to get some cool photos of his kids playing in the water, but instead, he got a glimpse of a large shark swimming towards his children.
New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County on the Atlantic coast of Florida is known as the shark-bite capital of the world. Professional photographer Dan Watson found out first-hand on how often sharks are in those warm Florida waters when he saw one only feet away from his children.
Dan and his wife Sally noticed the shadow swimming closer towards the kids, and they immediately ran towards them screaming to get them out of the water.
He captured this all on the drone and posted the photos on Instagram.

See that dark shadow making its way straight for the shore & those people? That was my view this weekend while flying my Mavic 2 Pro… and oh, 3 of those people are my kids! Swipe to see the next image that resulted from my yelling to get out of the water and the unmistakable outline of a shark. Definitely too close of an encounter for my liking! Thinking my @djiglobal drone is now coming with me to every beach day!!! #dji #mavic2pro #polarpro
Without that drone, he may have not seen the shark coming. So should we all buy a drone?
