Green Day ‘Dookie’ turns 25

Alternative icons Green Day released their breakthrough album ‘Dookie’ on Febuary 1, 1994. It would go on to become one of the most generation-defining albums of the 90’s, along with Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind.’ It inspired millions and sold over 20 million copies in the process. It gave the San Francisco trio of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool one of the biggest followings in rock music.

101WKQX was blessed to have a press conference in the Lounge with the band before they played Wrigley Field a few years ago.
