SPOILER ALERT!  (But only if you haven’t seen The Empire Strikes Back.)

The Last Jedi might be considered failure at the box office…if only compared to its predecessor.  $220 million in the first weekend makes it the second best North American debut of all time.  The cast was making the rounds on television to promote the film, including popular Irish talker The Graham Norton Show.

No surprise that the CGI and film tricks have changed much between 1980 and now…but here, Mark Hamill reveals how they made the Force work back in the day…and it is ridiculously low tech, as you will see.  — [eric]
