WHAT ACCENT IS THAT EXACTLY, THERE, BLINK-182?

NERD ALERT:  Some guy made a linguist listen to Blink-182 to analyze their very distinctive accent that some memes find —- irresistible.  So why do a lot of pop punk bands sound like that?  Because you kinda want to conform and sound like bands that are popular in your genre, according to the article.  I think Green Day would have been a better model for the study, no?

Who knew Lorde was technically…(brace your ears)…a bastard?  Well, no more.  I mean…30 years together.  Might as well get those tax benefits…if that’s a thing in New Zealand.  I know kiwifruit is, but that’s about the extent of my knowledge.

RADIOHEAD HELD BACK SONG BECAUSE “IT WOULD HAVE SOLD MORE RECORDS”

OK Computer celebrates 20 years with a reissue on June 23rd, including three songs held back from the album.  One of them — called “Lift” — was “subconsciously held back” because the band thinks it would have made them more popular…and “sold more records” as a result.  That’s such a Radiohead thing.
