In response to food insecurity in Lake and northern Cook counties, Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois fosters health and independence by delivering fresh, flavorful, and nutritious meals to homebound seniors, disabled individuals, and others unable to shop and/or cook for themselves.
Last year alone, Meals on Wheels NE Illinois delivered more than 80,000 meals with the help of more than 500 volunteers. Be apart of this amazing cause and volunteer here!

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walks are the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) signature student fundraising series, designed to engage youth and young adults in the fight to prevent suicide, a leading cause of death.
This event is open to all community members. Create your own team, fundraise for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, or sponsor this event!

Founded in 1894, Chicago Commons (“Commons”) provides high-quality early childhood education, comprehensive family support services, and senior care including home care and adult day services.
With this year’s theme of “Thriving Across Generations,” this event will feature the multigenerational work of our Family Hub which provides adult education and support services to the parents/caregivers of children enrolled in our early education centers. This approach is designed with the understanding that when families succeed, children succeed.
This event will be held Friday, April 21st at 11am. Located @ Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 E. Wacker Drive.
