One of the best parts of a Chicago summer is enjoying some outdoorsy time in one of our many parks but also summer is the season of big movies too? Both this seasonal pastimes are paired together with the annual Nights Out at the Parks program presented by the Chicago Park District throughout the city with many great movie screenings for free. This week the City of Chicago posted the full itinerary of dozens of different movies to see as well theater, dance, and art programs presented for free as well in city parks this summer.

Get the blanket and snacks for screenings of action thrillers like  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), Star Wars, Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and more. The schedule also includes classics like Grease, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Goonies, and more. If you have kids, there will be family friendly films shown as well with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!, Minions, and the Good Dinosaur.
