After Tom Delonge made Blink-182 go on a hiatus Mark Hoppus,bass vocals, and Travis Barker, drums, put together +44,named after the uk's international dialing code. +44 also stars Craig Fairbaugh on guitar and backing vocals and Shane Gallagher also on guitar.
If you were to desribe the album in one word it would be catchy. The Album opens up with Lycanthope a very catchy pop-punk song that is one of my favorites on the album I love the guitars on it. After that their is Baby, come on another great song in which Hoppus sings a very catchy "quit crying your eyes out, quit crying your eyes out baby, come on the past is only the future with the lights on".Next is When Your Heart Stops Beating the first single from the album another great song. Than their is a slower but more powerful song Little Death which has Hoppus with double vocals high and low recorded over each other. After that their is a very intersting song 155 its very different which is a good thing. After that their is Lillian which is my favorite song on the album its about Blink-182 which is sad but the song still sounds amazing. After that is a rock song cliffdiving whcih opens up with a great guitar riffs. After that a much needed interlude because the album changes its tone. Weatherman is next which is a very slow song and it is my least favorite song on the album. Than their is the first demo the band had ever released "No It Isn't", it starts off slow and than builds up for 2 minutes than takes off to a punk rock song. After that their is song called Make You Smile which opens up on piano and has Carol Heller Guest star on Vocals on the song which make it sound better and add a different type of style to the album. The album closes with Chapter XXI Or Chapter 13 which opens with a repetitive catchy guitar riffs the song has a video also that can be watched on Yahoo Music, or Aol.
In conclusion I give +44's First Album
