Here's a band that I bet you have never heard of unless you are CONSTANTLY listening to Q101, or went to Twisted 14 night 2. Danger Is My Middle Name is currently a small town band, but they have big things in store for them.
Currently, they have one real EP out and if you have been a fan for a short time you may have a couple other songs by them rocking out your iPod, and I'm here to tell you about the 5 that I have.
For the fans who have been there from the beginning, like back when Witroy was around, you probably have heard this song: Heroes & Underdogs. I just have a few things to point out about this song: 1. it is one of their first songs, 2. it has great lyrics and music, and 3. it has spectacular production.
Another song that the oldest fans probably have is Subject to Setback and again, on its own, it's a great song, but then adding into the fact that they aren't that old of a band and this is one of their first songs? F**KING AMAZING!
Now, the first song off their EP "Revenge On the Radio" is Sidecar One and just...wow...amazing...lyrics are excellent, the 2 guitars working in sync, the bass, the drums...just...everything put together makes for one hell of a song.
Another of the 3 song off their EP is Revenge On The Radio and three words: LISTEN TO IT.
Case closed.
Final song to tell you even a bit about is Goodbye Skyline. Now, if you listened to the previous 4 songs I have mentioned, this one is much slower and more mellow in comparison. It's a meaningful song, and I'm not gonna attempt to translate it...because I would just fuck it up.
This band is one of the greatest I have heard to come out of the Chicago area, local or otherwise. I really hope every one of you goes to check them out...$3 on iTunes is all it takes to give this band a chance...or just hop on over to www.myspace.com/dimmn
You won't regret it.
