It was a great movie. I don't care what critics say about the movie being bad, just like to point that out. All the characters were cool with awesome new looks as well as cool new characters such as Beast and Angel. It was an amazing twist completely different from the series or comics. Very unexpected. A lot of random humor added as well. (See Wolverine kick a guy in the crotch). Overall very unexpected. It was just sad how some characters died and the full potential of some mutants were not shown such as Mr. Multiply. Plus it was sad with so little X-men when there should be aroudn 50 of them.

This was a let down, it could have been written better and left room for another x-men movie. The action scenes were good but there were few action scenes until the very end. Also the transition between this one and the other two could have been organized a little better. When you go into this movie you feel as if you are watching a take off of the other two and not a sequel. It is too bad Brian Singer did not want to direct 2 and 3 as well as the first. They could have been much better, although in 2 sticking to the original concept helped, but 3 was a mess. I would not recommend spending money at the theater to go see it. Wait until DVD.

First let me point out that john is wrong is some aspects. brian singer directed the first 2 x-men movies and was booted off the project for the third. rumor has it singer wanted to make this movie but wanted time to make the superman movie. warner bros. said no dice and got the turd from rush hour to direct.
the movie itself was alright. there was decent enough action but not enough of the characters. why was angel in the movie? he's in it for 30 seconds. rogue doesnt do anything. all the new villians do zero. the movie is a HUGE step down from the first two. is it entertaining? yes. is it awesome? hell no. rent it or wait until its on HBO.
