I saw the preview for 28 days later and it looked so sweet. But then when i saw it on HBO it was a disappointment. The begininng was really good and suspenseful and what the movie should have been like, but when Jim met up with the survivors it started going downhill. When the group found the military base was just stupid. It ruined the movie and took all the suspense out of it. I thought the movie would be creepy and people running from zombies, not some stupid film when people are hiding in a military base and nothing happens have of the time. I would say this movie was a big disappointment.

I just watched it on HBO, & I'm glad I waited. The beginning was intense & suspenseful. Then, they ran into this group of people who had Christmas lights up in the night. Amazingly enough, the lights only attracted the humans & not the "undead." This movie is a copycat of "Night of the Living Dead" & "Return of the Living Dead." It falls short of being brilliant & goes so far as to walk the line of stupidity when they run into the military men & fortress. So glad I waited.

28 days later looked really good from the trailers. When I went to see it in the theaters, however, it was somewhat of a disappointment. True, there are some truly scary parts, but there are some really stupid parts to the movie and plot as well. If you are easily scared, then you could pay to see it in the theaters. If you aren't easily scared and want to see a new version of a way that many people can die, then you can rent it. At the end, there are some things that just didn't get tied together. They could've had more of an ending than what they did to end the movie.

28 days later is hands-down one of the best films of the year. It is just amazing. Everyone looking for something completely different should see this movie immediately. It is leaps and bounds over any movie this summer when it comes to originality.
Basically, Jim(Cillian Murphy) wakes up in an all-to-bare London, and has no idea what is going on. He finds out(all too quickly, though) that a flesh eating virus has ravaged half the globe.
Jim meets a few survivors, and they have to do what they can to survive. The film is not quite horror, not quite action. It reminds me of such survival-horror video games such as Resident Evil. Heck, this is what the Resident Evil movie should have been.
Highly original, creepy, and entertaining, the movie is directed by Danny Boyle(for those who loved Trainspotting), and I give it absolutely four stars. And if you're going to see it(which you must), stick around after the end credits for the original ending, which is much better than the crappy one they filmed for the American release!!!!
