Ladies and gentlemen:  We're surrounded by sickos.  But you'll be happy to know that one less pervert is running free.

--That's because yesterday, a judge in South Carolina sentenced 50-year-old Rodell Vereen to three years in prison for sexually violating a horse.

--It happened back in July, in Longs, South Carolina (--about 20 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach).  Barbara Kenley, the owner of Lazy B Stables, suspected something weird was going on.

--Her 21-year-old horse Sugar was acting strange and getting infections, dirt was piled up near his stall, and stuff had been moved around the barn.

--So Barbara set up a surveillance camera . . . staked out the barn . . . and busted Rodell, on camera, violating Sugar.  (!!!)   She pulled a shotgun on him, called the cops, and Rodell was arrested for BUGGERY. 

--And the thing is . . . it had all happened before!  Back in 2007, Barbara found Rodell asleep in the hay after violating Sugar in the same barn.  He pleaded guilty to buggery, got probation, and registered as a sex offender.

--Anyway, now Rodell's FINALLY going to prison.  He'll be inside for three years, with two years of probation and mental treatment when he gets out.  After the sentencing yesterday, he said, quote, "I'm sorry about what I've done.  I didn't mean to do it."  (Associated Press)
