Andrew Applebey

Lets see, as I write this I am getting off an eight hour shift that started at 3 AM. You do the math. But that's the radio biz for you, and to get what you want out of it, you have to deal with some serious agony. On the other hand if I didn't choose to get into radio then I would have never got the chance to be a part of Local 101. If you, at this point, are wondering to yourself "so what does this Applebey kid do for Local?" Well I'll tell ya. You know those little drops between songs scattered through out the show...maybe from Anchorman or Family Guy and anything else. That's me who put them together...I hold the awesome title of TECHNICAL PRODUCER, which means I get to bring all the humour to the show, and I do have a great sense of humour if I do say so myself.

You may ask yourself "How did he get to this highly regarded position?"

I went to Columbia College right here in Chicago and got my bachelors in radio production. I had all sorts of internships but Local 101 was definitely the coolest. Bands, chicks and all the cocaine a man could want! KIDDING! There were no chicks.

That's about me...I grew up right here in the Chicago area so that makes me legit, right?. I love music and especially working around it. My dreams include total global domination, being the first human to achieve the speed of light, and becoming debt free. I am a Gemini, have a fondness for primates, and getting my jam on Rock Band. There probably is more to me but thats all I can get out of 4 hours of sleep! GO RADIO!
