Soo.. my role at Local 101 is "Assistant Producer," better know as "the girl
who laughs when Chris tries to be funny..." Basically, I harassed nonstop
until someone finally agreed to let me help here in '05 and now I just won't leave. I do a bunch of different things at Local 101, including listening
to new music, bringing cool bands to the attention of Mr. Payne, and doing some internet related things.
You'll constantly catch me at live shows, you know, keeping up with the
music scene in Chicago. I've basically been doing that non-stop since I was16. I try to be as up to date as possible with what's new, what's good,
what WAS good has since broken up and is now something ELSE new and good....you get the idea. I constantly am looking for new music that will
blow me away, so that I can force everyone else to listen to it.
Some of my favorite local bands are: Local H, The Attraction, Treaty of
Paris, Kill Hannah, Company of Thieves, David Costa, The Silents...TRYING to keep it short so I'll stop there...so many more though.
